Midgard luminaires are designed for long-term use. Proper care helps preserve their materials, surfaces and mechanical components over time.
Find cleaning and care guidance for each Midgard lighting family below. Always disconnect the luminaire from the power supply before cleaning or maintenance.

AYNO
Dust the lamp base, fibreglass rod and lampshade using a duster, soft cloth or microfiber cloth. For soiling or stains, use a little soap on a slightly moist, soft sponge.
Yes. Unplug the lamp first, remove the diffuser disc and LED unit, and wipe the inside of the lampshade gently.
LOJA
Dust the paper lampshade using a dry duster, soft cloth or microfiber cloth. For soiling or stains, dust the shade first, then use a slightly moist soft sponge and wipe gently. The lampshade is made from water-repellent paper.
Dust the glass body with a dry duster, soft cloth or microfiber cloth. For soiling or stains, remove the lampshade first, then use a slightly moist soft sponge with a little soap if required. Dry with a soft towel.
Yes. Unplug the lamp first, remove the glass body from the fixture plate with a turning movement using the bayonet mount, place it safely on its side and wipe the inside gently.
RAY
Clean the steel and aluminium components with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive materials, aggressive cleaning agents and solvents.
The flexible steel bands feature a nano coating. Do not use abrasive pads, polishing agents, aggressive cleaning agents or solvents on the coated surfaces.
Disconnect RAY from the power supply before cleaning. Do not allow moisture to enter the DC socket, LED unit, slider or other electrical components. For battery, LED or mechanical service, please refer to the product instructions or contact Midgard.
K830 wall
First, unplug the lamp and dust the lamp base, arms and lampshade using a duster, soft cloth or microfiber cloth. For soiling or stains, use a little soap on a slightly moist, soft sponge. Then dry with a soft towel.
K831 pendant
For everyday use, wipe the pendant lamp with a duster, soft cloth or microfiber cloth. For thorough cleaning, note the different materials and finishes of the lampshades and keep the felt ring inside the shade in place.
The solid aluminium, brass and copper lampshades are untreated and develop a natural patina over time. To remove traces of oxidation, use a mild solution of vinegar and water with a soft sponge. Wipe afterwards with a damp cloth and polish dry with a soft cloth.
Clean enamelled or powder-coated lampshades with a slightly moist soft sponge and a little soap if required. Then dry with a soft towel.
Clean the Bakelite dome and rotary switch with a soft, slightly moist cloth.
SPRING-BALANCED
First, unplug the lamp and dust the lamp base, arms and lampshade using a duster, soft cloth or microfiber cloth. For soiling or stains, use a little soap on a slightly moist, soft sponge. Then dry with a soft towel.

Clean the anodised aluminium surfaces with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive materials, aggressive cleaning agents and solvents.
Clean the polycarbonate diffuser carefully with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive pads or polishing agents.
Always disconnect the luminaire from the power supply before cleaning or maintenance.
Repair instead of replace.
