The hand pushed lampshade rotates smoothly on the dome directing the light where needed. A classic rotary switch located at the top of the lamp dome allows to turn on the lamp permitting flexible installation situations: either direct to the ceiling outlet or with a plug for a socket. The black textile cable with which each pendant light is manufactured is another high-quality detail.
A sustainable solution is provided by the standard E27 socket suitable for retrofit LED, which allows for customization of the lighting colour to suit individual preferences. The lamp's final assembly is done in Hamburg, while all of its component parts are made in Germany.

Which Lightbulb can be used?
The luminaire is fitted with an E27 socket and is suitable for use with an LED light source. Midgard recommends E27-retrofit LED with 2700K and between 6 and 10W (corresponding to 40 - 60W) Please do not use classic or halogen lamps over 40W in the luminaire.
Is there a baldachin enclosed?
Yes, a canopy specially developed for this luminaire is supplied. Made of steel in matt black powder-coated finish.
What is the inside colour of the lampshade?
The lampshades made of aluminum and copper are solid. This means they are the same colour as the outer appearance. The semi-matte black is aluminium from the inside, as an aluminium shade is used in this manufacturing method. The enameled lampshades have been enameled twice, with the inner surface being enameled in white to give the extra shine.
Are there other lampshade colours available?
As we are manufacturing the lamp in Hamburg we are happy to powdercoat any RAL colour upon request up from small order quantities.
Are there other textile cable colours available?
The black textile cable with which each pendant light is manufactured adds another high-quality detail. As we produce and assemble the lamp in Hamburg and have other textile cables in stock, we are happy to equip the K831 with different textile cable colours at no additional cost.
