AYNO XL is an adjustable wall lamp designed by Stefan Diez for Midgard. Its continuously tensioned fibreglass rod replaces conventional articulated joints, creating the flexible arc that defines the AYNO lighting family. Sliding the two adjustment rings changes the curve of the arc, while the swivelling lampshade completes the patented three-point adjustment and brings light exactly where needed. With up to 220 cm outreach, AYNO XL is suited to dining tables, sofas and lounge areas while keeping the floor clear. The wall fixture itself swivels, adding lateral movement to the flexible arc and swivelling lampshade for exceptional freedom in positioning the light. Made in Germany, it features the replaceable Midgard LED Unit 2.0 with excellent Ra95+ colour rendering, a choice of 2700 K, 3000 K or 4000 K, and dimming memory that recalls the last brightness setting after switching off or disconnecting the power. Replaceable components, recycled materials and a repairable construction support long product life and responsible use of resources. AYNO translates Midgard's tradition of adjustable Bauhaus lighting into a contemporary, joint-free construction and is a winner of the German Sustainability Award Design 2021 and German Ecodesign Award 2022.
