How to adjust AYNO
A continuously tensioned fiberglass rod replaces conventional articulated joints, creating the flexible arc that defines the distinctive geometry of the AYNO lighting family. Sliding the two adjustment rings changes the curve of the arc, allowing the luminaire to move smoothly while remaining perfectly balanced. The fiberglass rod stores the tension that forms the arc, while the swivelling lampshade completes the fine adjustment, bringing light exactly where it is needed with exceptional reach and remarkable versatility.
Every AYNO follows the same construction principle while offering a different reach of movement.

AYNO S | table
The AYNO S Table Lamp is ideal for desks, bedside tables and sideboards, providing precise, adjustable light with an outreach of up to 70 cm.
AYNO L | floor & wall
With an outreach of up to 120 cm, AYNO L Floor and Wall Lamps are a natural choice for reading corners, sofas, workspaces and smaller dining tables.
AYNO XL | floor & wall
With an outreach of up to 220 cm, AYNO XL Floor and Wall Lamps comfortably illuminate larger seating areas and dining tables. Suitable for standard ceiling heights from 2.5 metres.

The AYNO lighting family was designed by Stefan Diez, one of Germany's leading industrial designers. His work is characterised by engineering precision, material intelligence and a commitment to circular product design. Together with Midgard, he developed AYNO by rethinking the principle of adjustable light – continuing a tradition of innovation that has shaped the company since 1919.

DESIGN & COLLECTION
AYNO was designed by German industrial designer Stefan Diez for Midgard. The collection combines engineering, material efficiency and a distinctive visual language inspired by the functional principles that have shaped Midgard since 1919.
The AYNO lighting family includes a table lamp (AYNO S),
floor lamps (AYNO L and XL) and wall lamps (AYNO L and XL).
All models share the same patented balancing principle, replaceable LED technology and characteristic AYNO silhouette. The wall lamps feature a pivoting wall bracket, providing an additional point of adjustment.
AYNO’s patented balancing principle replaces conventional articulated joints with a continuously tensioned fibreglass rod and two sliding adjustment rings.
This highly engineered system allows the light to move smoothly while remaining perfectly balanced. The tension stored in the fibreglass rod also creates the characteristic arc that defines AYNO’s geometry.
AYNO is available in Silk Grey and Black.
Both finishes can be paired with a matching textile cable in grey or black. A neon orange or ultramarin blue textile cable is available for both lamp colours, adding a contrasting accent.
LIGHT & TECHNOLOGY
Every AYNO lamp features a tool-free replaceable LED unit with a bayonet lock.
Simply twist, remove and replace the unit – no electrician is required. Replacement LED units are available directly from Midgard, helping to extend the lifetime of the product and making future maintenance straightforward.
AYNO is available with LED units in 2700 K, 3000 K and 4000 K.
The different colour temperatures allow the light to be selected for warm residential interiors, balanced everyday lighting or more focused working environments.
RA, also known as the Colour Rendering Index or CRI, measures how faithfully a light source reproduces colours.
With an excellent Ra 95+, AYNO produces a light that lets surrounding colours and materials appear almost as they do in natural daylight.
AYNO’s integrated memory function recalls the last dimming level and light setting after the lamp has been switched off. This allows seamless integration with compatible smart home systems while AYNO remains fully functional as a conventional luminaire.
SUSTAINABILITY & REPAIRABILITY
Replaceable components, available spare parts, durable materials and local manufacturing all contribute to a longer product life. Instead of replacing the entire lamp, individual parts can be repaired or
exchanged whenever needed.
This approach to product design has been recognised with the German Sustainability Award Design and with the Federal State Award ECO DESIGN
