Midgard’s desklamp, TYP 113, is one of the very first serially produced adjustable lamps in the world.
When the Bauhaus moves into its new building in Dessau in 1926, they are part of the interior, selected by Walter Gropius, illuminating both the Werkstätten and the Master Houses.

The Bauhaus Archive Berlin received the films from the estate of Walter Gropius. These are nitrate films, which are shown here in a revised, digitised form.
