AYNO XL is an adjustable floor lamp designed by Stefan Diez for Midgard. Its continuously tensioned fibreglass rod replaces conventional articulated joints, creating the flexible arc that defines the AYNO lighting family. Sliding the two adjustment rings changes the curve of the arc, while the swivelling lampshade completes the patented three-point adjustment and brings light exactly where needed. With up to 220 cm reach, AYNO XL is suited to dining tables, sofas and lounge areas. Made in Germany, it features the replaceable Midgard LED Unit 2.0 with excellent Ra95+ colour rendering, a choice of 2700 K, 3000 K or 4000 K, and dimming memory that recalls the last brightness setting after switching off or disconnecting the power. Replaceable components, recycled materials and a repairable construction support long product life and responsible use of resources. AYNO translates Midgard's tradition of adjustable Bauhaus lighting into a contemporary, joint-free construction and is a winner of the German Sustainability Award Design 2021 and German Ecodesign Award 2022.
The LED unit is easily exchangable and comes in a choice of three lighting colours (2700K | 3000K | 4000K ) to suit any individual preference

With an excellent colour rendering index of RA95+, AYNO produces a light that makes surrounding colours and materials glow just like in sunlight.
Adjustable
Central feature of the AYNO lighting family is a fiberglass rod, which is stretched to the bow by the luminaire cable. The inherent tension of the rod allows a lamp without any joints. By sliding the two adjustment rings attop and bottom, the fiberglass rod is bent into the desired position and the light is directed where needed. The cable tightens the rod into an arc, of which the radius can be varied as required using the adjustment rings. The fine adjustment is done with the swiveling lampshade.
Sustainable
Reduced to the essentials, AYNO meets all criteria of design, technology, and sustainability: It is one of the first LED lights that can be repaired by the customer without tools.
Thanks to plug-in connections, all parts can be exchanged, not just the LED and transformer. It is made from already recycled materials; each part is reparable by hand, and the lamp is easily separated into the three fully recyclable primary materials. The use of semi-finished products avoids transport routes, standardized materials can be sourced locally.
